True legend a.k.a 苏乞儿

Went to watch TRUE LEGEND today, 'cause it was the only movie that wasn't "selling fast" and 'cause JAY's in it! And I wasn't disappointed, all the fighting scenes were very detailed and feels real. And JAY looks really cute in the film! :) It seems no matter what role he plays, he somehow always manages to add a little bit of himself into the character. That's why I like watching his movies, it's so him. Haha. It's quite funny how everybody laughed whenever he spoke, because the way he speaks is so different from the 字正腔圆 style of the other actors. I read that they had a 3D version of the movie, only for certain fighting scenes. If only they brought it to singapore!

It was BMS family day today! Basically all the students in our course get their parents to come and listen to talks and enjoy the sumptuous buffet. I was a little busy today, being a volunteer at the event and going for dance practice too. When I came back from dance I was just in time for lunch! Hungry me loaded my box with lots of rice and prawns and meat and vege. Then I had a little bowl of laksa too, and ended up being very full. There was this lucky dip thingy going on, where we had to visit booths and answer questions correctly before they'll let us try for the big prizes. I wasn't very lucky! Got a bread-zipper (??) that would probably come in handy for my biscuits. My friend was luckier though, and won a ntu jacket! Haha. But all these prizes are small compared to the lucky draw prizes. I really wanted the WII console, but luck wasn't on my side! Quite funny how everyone sighed together whenever the emcee read out the 1st digit. Heh :)

My role there was to be a guide at the tcm clinic, to give a short introduction of the passage pasted on the wall there. Turned out I only had to entertain one parent, there wasn't much to do. So much of the time there was spent wandering around, taking photos, talking to seniors, looking at the pots of herbs there, and reading stuff on the booths. I didn't know there are 365 significant acupoints in our body, and that there was no such thing as a 喜脉(the pulse that shows the patient is pregnant). So much more to learn, so much more to know!

Happy CNY + Valentine's!

We celebrated Valentine's on the eve of CNY, since he's gonna be pretty much away for the whole CNY. He hugged this very big board and came to my house early in the morning, and it turned out to be my present. Haha. Then not long after he exclaimed 大便!and went all the way home to get the receipt for the flowers-.- That wasn't very romantic. But I felt better when I saw people staring at him while he waited at the bus interchange with the bouquet in his hand. Ahaha! After that he didn't want to hold the bouquet for me anymore, saying that it was too AA. We went for a walk at Vivo, in my attempt to do some last-minute shopping for CNY. And there was nothing much to buy, so we spent much time at the rooftop area taking pictures! It was bright and sunny, very nice for photos.

Yixin bought me the watch I have been eyeing for some time too! I think it looks pretty!

The first day of CNY was spent visiting and slacking and eating pineapple tarts. There were a little more babies and children this year. It's amazing how little children can grow so fast! And seeing families expand every year...it makes me wanna start a family of my own. Haha. I always do/think things in a moment of impulse. I guess it's lucky I have someone like yixin who's irritatingly critical about everything under the sun but can delay me long enough for me to talk myself out of rash decisions. Haha then again, I couldn't really talk myself out of buying that watch!

Don't eat two waffles when you're extremely hungry.

On tuesday I woke up late and decided to wrap my bread nicely and bring it to school. Being the very forgetful me (and in a hurry too!) I left the bread at home. To think all the search for a ziploc bag was the reason why I was running late-.- Nevermind so I was thinking I'll have breakfast in school instead. Throughout the 1 hr tutorial my tummy was rumbling away, and the waffles at the cafe downstairs looked so attractive...I bought two and spammed maple syrup on them. At that time I was thinking, my tummy probably has enough space for one hot cake + sausage meal, what's two more waffles! But I didn't really stop to think I have never ever ordered two waffles for myself at my favourite prima deli, and that one was more than enough. Oh well. I finished the waffles and went for my lab.

The lab was fun! But very long too. 'Cause we had to incubate our DNA digests for like an hour before we can proceed with the practical. So we spent much time cam-whoring :) See our pretty eppendorf tube holders! At the end of the lab we got our little picture of the gel electrophoresis we did, but it's to be attached to our lab reports! :(

Anyway, by the end of the lab all the flour was starting to make my tummy feel bloated. Then I felt cold and really uncomfy. And a headache was starting to brew, making my head heavy. I barely made it home after 2 hours more of lecture and tah-dah, I got a fever! I'm sure the fever wasn't due to the waffles though. But the diarrhoea that followed after was. It's a good thing I'm fairly receptive to panadol and the fever was gone after a good night's sleep (slept at 8 plus wahaha). But I still don't have much appetite. Conclusion is, waffles are meant to be ate one at a time as a meal, or at least half of a meal. And they are not to be confused with hotcakes!
