True legend a.k.a 苏乞儿

Went to watch TRUE LEGEND today, 'cause it was the only movie that wasn't "selling fast" and 'cause JAY's in it! And I wasn't disappointed, all the fighting scenes were very detailed and feels real. And JAY looks really cute in the film! :) It seems no matter what role he plays, he somehow always manages to add a little bit of himself into the character. That's why I like watching his movies, it's so him. Haha. It's quite funny how everybody laughed whenever he spoke, because the way he speaks is so different from the 字正腔圆 style of the other actors. I read that they had a 3D version of the movie, only for certain fighting scenes. If only they brought it to singapore!

It was BMS family day today! Basically all the students in our course get their parents to come and listen to talks and enjoy the sumptuous buffet. I was a little busy today, being a volunteer at the event and going for dance practice too. When I came back from dance I was just in time for lunch! Hungry me loaded my box with lots of rice and prawns and meat and vege. Then I had a little bowl of laksa too, and ended up being very full. There was this lucky dip thingy going on, where we had to visit booths and answer questions correctly before they'll let us try for the big prizes. I wasn't very lucky! Got a bread-zipper (??) that would probably come in handy for my biscuits. My friend was luckier though, and won a ntu jacket! Haha. But all these prizes are small compared to the lucky draw prizes. I really wanted the WII console, but luck wasn't on my side! Quite funny how everyone sighed together whenever the emcee read out the 1st digit. Heh :)

My role there was to be a guide at the tcm clinic, to give a short introduction of the passage pasted on the wall there. Turned out I only had to entertain one parent, there wasn't much to do. So much of the time there was spent wandering around, taking photos, talking to seniors, looking at the pots of herbs there, and reading stuff on the booths. I didn't know there are 365 significant acupoints in our body, and that there was no such thing as a 喜脉(the pulse that shows the patient is pregnant). So much more to learn, so much more to know!

Happy CNY + Valentine's!

We celebrated Valentine's on the eve of CNY, since he's gonna be pretty much away for the whole CNY. He hugged this very big board and came to my house early in the morning, and it turned out to be my present. Haha. Then not long after he exclaimed 大便!and went all the way home to get the receipt for the flowers-.- That wasn't very romantic. But I felt better when I saw people staring at him while he waited at the bus interchange with the bouquet in his hand. Ahaha! After that he didn't want to hold the bouquet for me anymore, saying that it was too AA. We went for a walk at Vivo, in my attempt to do some last-minute shopping for CNY. And there was nothing much to buy, so we spent much time at the rooftop area taking pictures! It was bright and sunny, very nice for photos.

Yixin bought me the watch I have been eyeing for some time too! I think it looks pretty!

The first day of CNY was spent visiting and slacking and eating pineapple tarts. There were a little more babies and children this year. It's amazing how little children can grow so fast! And seeing families expand every year...it makes me wanna start a family of my own. Haha. I always do/think things in a moment of impulse. I guess it's lucky I have someone like yixin who's irritatingly critical about everything under the sun but can delay me long enough for me to talk myself out of rash decisions. Haha then again, I couldn't really talk myself out of buying that watch!

Don't eat two waffles when you're extremely hungry.

On tuesday I woke up late and decided to wrap my bread nicely and bring it to school. Being the very forgetful me (and in a hurry too!) I left the bread at home. To think all the search for a ziploc bag was the reason why I was running late-.- Nevermind so I was thinking I'll have breakfast in school instead. Throughout the 1 hr tutorial my tummy was rumbling away, and the waffles at the cafe downstairs looked so attractive...I bought two and spammed maple syrup on them. At that time I was thinking, my tummy probably has enough space for one hot cake + sausage meal, what's two more waffles! But I didn't really stop to think I have never ever ordered two waffles for myself at my favourite prima deli, and that one was more than enough. Oh well. I finished the waffles and went for my lab.

The lab was fun! But very long too. 'Cause we had to incubate our DNA digests for like an hour before we can proceed with the practical. So we spent much time cam-whoring :) See our pretty eppendorf tube holders! At the end of the lab we got our little picture of the gel electrophoresis we did, but it's to be attached to our lab reports! :(

Anyway, by the end of the lab all the flour was starting to make my tummy feel bloated. Then I felt cold and really uncomfy. And a headache was starting to brew, making my head heavy. I barely made it home after 2 hours more of lecture and tah-dah, I got a fever! I'm sure the fever wasn't due to the waffles though. But the diarrhoea that followed after was. It's a good thing I'm fairly receptive to panadol and the fever was gone after a good night's sleep (slept at 8 plus wahaha). But I still don't have much appetite. Conclusion is, waffles are meant to be ate one at a time as a meal, or at least half of a meal. And they are not to be confused with hotcakes!

I don't want to do lab report!

But I don't have a choice, deadline's coming tuesday. Two lab reports! We used to have two weeks for one lab report, now it's the other way around-.- So now yixin and I are in the library, me obviously not doing what I should do and him reading his 三国演义. I think all my questions about 三国 made him interested in it again. I don't understand how he manages to remember all the facts though, like who killed who and who helped who. I think it's very difficult to memorise the names of ancient chinese, but that's what I have to do now! :(

Hello blog

It's been 2010 for some time already yet this is the first post since the start of the year. I've been really busy! It was for impre(dance competition but we didn't make it to second round..:( ) back then, now its for JDC(dance performance) which means dance on thursday friday and saturday. Tuition resumes too! In conclusion I have monday tuesday wednesday sunday nights free. Not even much time to watch my beloved 终极三国. On a sidenote I did finish watching 终极一家 finally haha. So i did complete something during the holidays!

Last post I mentioned going to msia. It was definitely an eye-opener as I haven't been there for a very long time. We mainly stayed around KL and visited pretty shopping centres all done up with christmas decorations. Singapore shopping centres don't seem to spend much effort on such festive decorations...*thinking of the little jukebox-like thingy at the entrance of lot 1 which they re-used for new year*. I saw mainly chinese people and almost forgot I was in msia. They have a lot of land there, a 1 hr drive is the norm to get to 'near' places. And they drive at 120km/hr around there brr. What was most memorable was getting to eat crabs(!) like throughout the 3 days there, and having my tummy fully filled 24/7. I was food-phobic for a few days after that haha. It was great to spend some time with yixin and his family, and this trip kinda cured my phobia of going into msia. Sure look forward to visiting sunway lagoon next time!

So it's been almost 2 weeks since school started. We started on a tcm module, which is basically a language class to learn ancient chinese. It so reminds me of my chinese literature classes back in hci. All the 左传 and 史记 stuff are so interesting to learn about, and I finally can understand yixin's fascination with the ancients. But I wish they didn't have to 随随便便自杀死掉. Haha. I've had 2 korean classes already, and I'm loving it:) I hope someday I'll be able to watch korean dramas without subtitles!

Today our school had some back-to-school thingy going on and we could wear our school uniform to school. I sure missed my uniform! Wearing it brought back a lot of memories from jc times, and it suddenly didn't feel so much like a dream anymore. After lessons we hopped on the buses to the BODY WORLD EXHIBITION :):) kindly sponsored by the school. I wish I could have spent more time there though. I didn't have the luxury to read the descriptions in detail.

Okay homework time.

Merry Christmas! :)

I recently took to dressing up and putting on makeup when meeting yixin, 'cause he's been complaining why I wear nicely to meet others but not him. Haha. I just wanted to match his fashion sense. So I tried to make myself a little more appealing. I'm still not very good at makeup so I got my eyes all red and wet.

Hmm yea maybe I should listen to my mum's and sharon's advice and get my eyebrows trimmed. And of course yixin was very pleased and we took some pretty neos!

Causeway point was very crowded; it was Christmas eve. We had dinner at Ichiban (I so love salmon sashimi!) and somehow reached home quite late. Then Christmas came and we went to watch 刺陵 at 1130 at vivo. Weird timing 'cause it was sneaks! I was totally blown away when Jay appeared, I think he acted great! It's like he crafted his character to suit him, not the usual other way round. Though I think it's a pity the plot wasn't developed more in depth. There could have been a little more explanation.

Lunch was at some 3 in 1 japanese restaurant, we took some photos there.

Luckily I decided not to go to Sentosa after all, there was a imba heavy downpour in the afternoon. That should be the reason why vivo was exceptionally crowded at the restaurants. We spent the later part of the afternoon in the arcade, mostly playing basketball. I was kinda pissed at yixin for missing so many balls so I challenged him to a PK. I really thought he wouldn't make it past first round. But he actually ended up doing a little better than me. Ego wounded. I attempted the dance game too! But it was so irritating, the machine didn't seem to detect my moves and recorded them all as 'missed'. The toy-catching machine was a hot favourite; families hoggged the machine and I saw people hugging their catch everywhere. That tempted me a lot, but I was never able to catch anything from the arcade. I gave up after 2 tries-.-

I'm going to m'sia tomorrow early in the morning. Feel really bad for missing the dance practice at such a critical moment, but I'm gonna put the X MINI II he got me for christmas to good use! I'm gonna practise hard in m'sia! :) I'm breaking dishes~ah ha~

Always spending his money!

I do feel quite bad that I spend so much of his money. I did promise that I would only eat expensive food once a week! But that boy keeps tempting me saying that it's fine. So...we ended up eating at sakae yesterday. I so love the salmon and chawanmushi there!

It was class gathering yesterday too, but dance ended quite late and people had to leave early. We completed quite a bit of choreography! 50% more to go, I hope we can get it done soon. Choreography sure isn't easy, there's suddenly a lot of details to pay attention to. Like the feel of the music, the strong beats, the silent beats...as well as other instruments that weave in and out throughout the music. Plus I'm going to m'sia with yixin and his family (a bit awkward! but shall take the chance to take nice photos :) )...i hope i can catch up after that. I don't even know why I actually agreed to go with him, but seeing him so excited about us going together...i don't have the heart to disappoint him. Haha. He's just so boyboy that I feel like I have to take care of him properly.

I had a mahjong session at wilson's place today! I haven't played since MJ chalet, missed it loads. It was relatively expletive-less compared to those sessions at yunhao's place. Haha. Guys.
